Poblano

Description:

The Poblano is a very popular Mexican chilli. It ripens to a deep red and is called Poblano when fresh and Ancho when dried. It has lots of fruity flavour and a very mild heat. An ideal chilli for stuffing and baking, or to use instead of capsicum to add a kick to any dish. It is also delicious when fried. Often used in its dried form, when it takes on a rich smoky flavour and the subtle heat is a little more concentrated. It is one of the chillies used to make mole sauce.
